Le PUI Med’Innov et l’IRT Saint Exupéry signent un partenariat !

The Saint Exupéry Technological Research Institute (IRT), established in Sophia Antipolis since 2017, is joining the Med’Innov University Innovation Hub (PUI)! This partnership declaration is part of the rollout of the Saint Exupéry IRT’s roadmap within the French Riviera region, aiming to strengthen its ties with the Med’Innov scientific community.

Focused on the aeronautics, space, and embedded systems sectors, the IRT’s activities in Sophia Antipolis place a particular emphasis on digital technology, closely linked to space and defense challenges. As such, they reinforce the actions initiated by the University Innovation Hub and its founders, particularly within recently formed networks. The Med’innov PUI will enable the Saint Exupéry IRT to achieve full, coordinated integration into a rich and dynamic ecosystem, acting as a facilitator for new synergies.

“The Med’Innov University Innovation Hub, the conductor of innovation across the French Riviera and Corsica, is very pleased to welcome the Saint Exupéry IRT as a partner. This collaboration is a natural fit for our shared ambition to structure a dynamic innovation environment at the crossroads of academic research and industrial needs. Together, we aim to intensify collaborative research activities in the fields of space, defense, and digital technology to address both technological and regional challenges.” — Xavier Fernandez, Vice-President of Innovation and Valorization at Université Côte d’Azur and head of the Med’Innov PUI.

“We are delighted to join the Med’Innov University Innovation Hub. Thanks to our presence in Sophia-Antipolis, where we notably develop our activities in artificial intelligence applied to space, we already have a strong foothold in this innovation-driven territory. This new partnership represents an opportunity to strengthen our collaborations with regional academic and industrial players, to develop new research and innovation initiatives aligned with our technological roadmaps, and to contribute fully to the region’s dynamism.” — Loïc Courtot, Director of Academic and Institutional Relations at the Saint Exupéry IRT.
