Led by IRT Saint Exupéry, the IRMA project (Image processing for a Responsive Mission with AI) brings together Thales Alenia Space, ActiveEon, Geo4i, JoliBrain, and the Côte d’Azur University around a shared goal: making artificial intelligence a key lever for responsive Earth observation.
This approach convinced the European Space Agency (ESA) to include an application of the project on board Φsat-2, a demonstrator satellite launched on August 16, 2024.
On the occasion of the project’s two-year anniversary, discover in video the main innovations developed:
- mission planning via a multi-agent system,
- image processing both on the ground and on board for real-time analysis,
- end-to-end demonstrator of responsive mission scenarios integrating these technologies.
